Speciality Rooms
Our Speciality rooms honor one of the past celebrities who stayed here when this was the historic Sunset Hotel during the 1940's and 1950's.
Marilyn Monroe Room
Our Marilyn Monroe room features a large king-sized bed, a separate sitting area with a fold-out sleeper sofa with a view, and is decorated with photos and posters of Marilyn Monroe.
Marilyn Monroe enjoyed staying at the Sunset Hotel and chose this room as the side staircase afforded her some privacy when she was entering and leaving the hotel.

The Babe Ruth Room
The legendary Babe Ruth reportedly often stayed in this suite when the New York Yankees first came to St. Petersburg for spring training in 1925. This premier suite located inside the “cornerstone tower” features a comfortable sleeping area with an adjoining private enclosed porch for a 180° bird’s eye view of the surrounding area.
The Babe was so taken by this view that he eventually had a house built across the street. Step outside your room to enjoy our spectacular sunsets from the open air balcony just as Babe did during the heyday of the 1920’s.
Whether you are a nostalgic baseball fan or just want to relax in a room with our most wonderful view, this suite is perfect for you!
